The HDMA Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy! HDMA believes that you have the right to know what information is being collected about you when you visit our site, and what is done with that information. The terms of this policy will govern the use and any information collected while it is in place.

Personally Identifiable Information
HDMA does not collect personally identifiable information without your knowledge. Personally identifiable information at our site is collected by prompt only. HDMA may collect personally identifiable information such as your email address, name, mailing address, telephone number, social security number, credit card information or other information to enable you to participate in chat rooms or on bulletin boards, to complete registrations, or to order goods and services. HDMA may use information collected on this site to provide you with information relating to goods and services provided by HDMA. Non-Personally Identifiable Information
HDMA does collect anonymous browser information from visitors to the site. This information is not personally identifiable and is not linked to any individual person. To collect this information, when you visit our website, we may store information in the form of a “cookie” on your computer. Cookies allow us to tailor the site and help us to better respond to your interests and preferences. An “IP address” is a number used by computers on the network to identify your computer so that data can be transmitted to you. “Environmental variables” include, among other things, the domain from which you access the Internet, the time of your visit to our website, the type of Browser and operating system or platform used, the Internet address of the websites you visit previously and subsequently to visiting the HDMA website, and the pages you visit while at our website. We collect this information to allow us to detect broad demographic trends, to provide information tailored to your interests and to enhance your experience on the HDMA site. Browser information collected on our web site
HDMA collects anonymous browser information, and analyzes our website logs to constantly improve the value of the materials available on our site. Our logs are not personally identifiable, and we will make no attempt to link them with individuals that actually browse the site.

HDMA Social Media Policy
HDMA uses social media (such as Twitter or LinkedIn) to communicate information about the organization’s meetings, conferences and educational programs. HDMA is responsible only for the content of the publications, posts, and Tweets that it generates and disseminates. Comments and information posted should not be defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive or illegal. HDMA is not responsible for opinions or information posted by others and shall not be liable for how others use, refer to, or respond to HDMA-created content. It is the unqualified policy of HDMA and all of its operating committees to conduct their operations in strict compliance with the antitrust laws of the United States.

HDMA is not responsible for monitoring or responding to posts and comments made through social media such as Twitter or LinkedIn. Those wishing to communicate with HDMA should contact us.


HDMA Anti-Trust Policy

It is the unqualified policy of HDMA and all of its operating committees to conduct their operations in strict compliance with the antitrust laws of the United States.

HDMA’s antitrust policy prohibits any discussions which constitute or imply an agreement or understanding concerning: 1) prices, discounts, or terms or conditions of sale; 2) profits, or profit margins or cost data; 3) market shares, sales territories or markets; 4) allocation of customers or territories; 5) selection, rejection or termination of customers or suppliers; 6) restricting the territory or markets in which a company may resell products; 7) restricting the customers to whom a company may sell; or 8) any matter which is inconsistent with the proposition that each member company of HDMA must exercise its independent business judgment in pricing its services or products, dealing with its customers and suppliers and choosing the markets in which it will compete.

HDMA membership, Board of Directors and committee meetings shall be conducted pursuant to agendas distributed in advance to attendees; discussions shall be limited to agenda items which have been reviewed by HDMA legal counsel; there shall be no substantive discussions of HDMA matters other than at official meetings; and minutes shall be distributed to attendees promptly upon review by HDMA legal counsel.
